All In Together: Safety in Action at MEI
MEI Industrial Solutions is proud to support Construction Safety Week 2026, centered around the theme “All In Together.” Across the industry, this week serves as a reminder that safety is a shared responsibility, one that requires commitment from every role, on every jobsite, every day.
This year’s focus, Recognize, Respond, Respect, directly reflects how we approach our work at MEI. In the high-energy, high-hazard environments we operate in, these principles are not just ideas; they are actions that guide how we plan, communicate, and execute.
Recognize
Every safe project starts with understanding the risks.
At MEI, hazard recognition begins long before work is underway. From detailed lift planning and engineered rigging strategies to pre-task meetings in the field, our teams take the time to identify potential risks and align on mitigation strategies. Our work often involves complex equipment, tight tolerances, and dynamic jobsite conditions; recognizing those variables early is critical to executing safely and efficiently.
Just as important is the experience of our people. Our crews are trained to recognize changing conditions in real time, ensuring that risk awareness is continuous, not just part of the plan, but part of the process.
Respond
Recognizing risk is only effective if action follows.
At MEI, every team member is empowered to respond when something doesn’t look right. Whether it’s raising a concern, adjusting a plan, or stopping work entirely, accountability is expected at every level of the organization. This culture of ownership ensures that safety decisions are made in the moment, where they matter most.
Our teams understand that responding quickly and decisively is what prevents incidents and protects both people and projects. It’s not about slowing work down—it’s about doing the work the right way.
Respect
Safety is built on respect, for the work, the environment, and each other.
The environments we operate in demand precision, coordination, and trust. Respect shows up in how our teams communicate, how leaders engage with crews, and how we approach every task, no matter how routine or complex.
At MEI, respect means looking out for one another, valuing every voice on the jobsite, and maintaining the discipline required to execute safely. It’s what strengthens our culture and reinforces our commitment to sending every team member home safely at the end of the day.
A Commitment Beyond the Week
While Construction Safety Week provides an important moment for alignment across the industry, safety at MEI is not confined to a single week or campaign. It is embedded in how we operate year-round—through our planning processes, our field execution, and our continuous investment in training and development.
Being All In Together means more than participation. It means holding ourselves accountable to the highest standards, supporting one another in the field, and continuously improving how we approach safety in everything we do.
Because at the end of the day, success is measured not just by what we build, but by how we protect the people who make it possible.
